Gedser is a small town with a large ferry port and large yacht harbour. It’s in the perfect place to stop when transiting north or south from Fehmarn, we have been in before but not explored. We took the bikes and visited a fledgling historic railway museum. It’s centred round a turntable and round shed. So far there are 2 steam trains 1 under restoration 1 just stored. They have recently taken a historical signal box that was in Copenhagen, it has been restored very well. We had a lovely clear night so settled down on the beach to watch the once in a life time moon eclipse, it took a while for the moon raise above he trees but when it did it was blood red then we witnessed the eclipse. Our phones could not get very good images. We are now just 30 NM from our base and the end of our journeys for another year.
