We set sail early as the forecast was for a force 8 gale to be with us by 21.00 we had about 25 nm to travel. We sailed in to the city past famous the little mermaid statue. We wanted to be in the city centre so we decided on the Cristiania canal, this is near the famous Cristiania Freetown community. We were rafted out three deep but in a very sheltered spot, our neighbour said we were in the best place in Copenhagen. When I asked him if he was going the next day he said no. He has spent the last ten winters there and was not going till next summer. It was Keith and Annie's last night with us so after a quick walk round the city we went out for a lovely meal on a canal side restaurant. The neighbour was right the night was quite. After breakfast we walked into the Cristiania Freetown community. A strange but interesting to see. Keith and Annie left us at lunch time, we spent the rest of the day walking round the city. We went into The Frelsers Kirke, the wind was to high to go up the tower but the grand organ was being played, which was made in 1695. In the main square there was a peaceful demonstration with boxes on the floor to show all people killed by Israel in Gaza and Palestine in just July this year there must be about 900 boxes all with a story to tell.
