Well it's Saturday and another day back at Mukeu school! It's optional to do volunteer projects at weekends so today there was only Chris, Allyssa, Jess, Sophia and me! The rest were either having a day off or helping at His Image which is the baby orphanage.

Our aim today was to handwash all the old sheets and blankets! Chris and Allyssa had already ordered new linen from the market but these blankets hadn't been washed in, goodness knows how long!! It was a big job and we only manage about a quarter of the blankets. The head teacher, said she could employ ladies to come in on Monday for approx £3 a day to finish the rest of the blankets, as we had to go to our normal projects on Monday! That was what was agreed as these blankets were disgusting!

By the time we left today, the sheets had dried and we put them all back onto the beds, all we were waiting for now was the delivery of the new blankets which arrived in the evening! Tonight 40 kids are sleeping in a clean room, on a new mattress with clean sheets, very satisfying but there are still only 30 beds, so half of the kids share a bed!

Chris and Sophia are making an information poster for future volunteers that will work at Mukeu, to attempt to keep the dorms in a similar fashion.

This afternoon when we got back, the Internet was working yay!! Spoke to Mum and Dad for a wee while as they go to Craigenndarroch this week, gutted I'm missing it!! Then spoke to Jen but the connection was awful.

Slept for a good hour and a half before tea which was an ace power nap!! Think all the girls that went to Mukeu this last two days had a sleep :)

It was then party time!!! We sneakily bought vodka at the market yesterday but Brackenhurst is an alcohol free campus, so we had to be very careful! Jess and I had a couple before tea while getting ready, vodka and sprite in a mug all good!!! Smirnoff vodka was costing £8 in supermarket!! Totally crazy!

We had booked a taxi/mini bus for 8.30pm to take us to Kentmere Country Club, it was same place as we went last Saturday! It was a good night, there was locals there tonight though so to start with they gave us a private room and we played Vince's pod with my speakers and made our own party until it quietened down in the main bar!!

This place def wasn't as cheap as the pub yesterday but still cheaper than home :) It was Claire's birthday at midnight so the sambuca and tequila shots were all on the go! Surprisingly wasn't that drunk but just really tired, so headed straight to bed when we got back! Think it was about 2 I went to bed after a cup of tea :)

Everyone was such a laugh though and a really good night!
