Where do I start! It's been a really nice day, felt a bit unsure first thing in the morning but as soon as I arrived at Karuri (the health centre) I was grand!

Was doing the under 5's clinic with two student nurses today, it entailed weighing babies/toddlers, figuring out what immunisations they were due, recording them and administering them! The two student nurses Mercy and Ontonio were ace fun, had such a laugh! Then as clinic was quietened down at about 12, a mum came in with toddler strapped to her back who was having convulsions and unresponsive. So it was interesting to see an emergency, poor girls temp was 39.4! So force fed her paracetamol when she woke, IM diazepam and IM benzylpenicillin (yup IM was a strange one) when I left for lunch she was slightly better, will find out next week how she got on, as not at project the rest of the week.

Tomorrow is feeding programme which I'm really looking forward too and helping at a special needs school!

This afternoon Jess and I went and did the 2.5km forest walk which was really good, was nice to get out of the estate, texted a certain someone all evening :) hehe and watched Chalet Girl on my iPhone. Fair enjoyed a quiet evening!
