Well I definatly made the most of my last day in Kenya and its 11.11.11. It was the first day since I arrived that African Impact deemed it safe to go into Nairobi :) so finally we were getting to go to the projects in the slums! I woke up early as I had to go to the office after breakfast and check in but also wanted to send an email ;) since I had no wifi last night. Can't believe it's Thursday already, it's another cold and overcast morning in Limuru! My new roomie, Pippie who's 18 from Holland, was up all last night with a stomach bug and was sick most of the night. She thinks she only got about two hours sleep, I felt really sorry for her this morning! Anyways she's taking the day off so hopefully she's a bit better later. Celebrations!!!!!! Angel's test results came back and she's negative for HIV! Her bloods at 1 week old were positive but the 6 week old test is accurate so she does not need to be tested again! We are all absolutely delighted for her :) The weather is cold and wet again today so we are unable to take the kids outside. It was a bit of a struggle to get up this morning but Elaine was leaving at 7.30am so got up to say our goodbyes! Felt fine which was surprising after the amount of wine I had last night. Today I was starting work at a baby orphanage, which is not too far from where we stay. It's a orphanage that was set up in 2007 by a lady called Joan. At present there are 6 babies and 4 toddlers, its not a public orphanage, because if it was there would be 60-80 orphans! ...
