Yes Kenya can be freezing, cold and miserable too - just like home! This morning it was horrible - had both my hoodie and jacket on!

I was asked to work in the CCC today, which is further away from the health centre but still part of it. It's called Comprehensive Care Clinic for TB and HIV patients!! It was really interesting, I was handing out their treatment drugs, working in the records room, recording treatments and giving them their next appointment! The nurse that showed me how the clinic worked was really nice and so easy to go into the counselling room to ask any questions I needed answered!!

Just so basic, the patients in the waiting room can here the conversations in the counselling rooms, as it's only curtains that separate the area! The records room is left unattended for long periods of time and is not locked at night etc. The information that's given is all given verbally, no such things as information posters or leaflets etc.

Definatly an interesting day and glad I managed to gain an insight into their treatment process of HIV and TB!

The clinic was finished by 1pm so I went back to the maternity building to see what was happening there. Went to the labour ward and i missed a birth by seconds, the baby was being carried to the table to be assessed when I walked in. Was unbelievable though, there's no such thing as sterile techniques! No aprons never mind theatre gowns and there was blood everywhere! The baby was cute though, very poor circulation so basically just picked it up by its feet and shook it a few times, just the same as knewly born piglets ha!

This afternoon wasn't a day for sunbathing :( Went down to the computers for an hour, they are horrendously slow!! Paid the credit card bill, sent ash an anniversary card and read through my blog! All I need to do now is back-up my photos at some point!

Jess and I went and checked out the tennis, volleyball and basketball courts and had a walk around the.. campus I suppose you'd call it. Also found a recreation room with table tennis and a mini gym! Really should take photos of the gym it's ace, must be about 50 yrs old, never the less we attempted all the stretches/weight lifts we could think of!! Probably be in agony tomorrow.

Film o'clock was 'Easy A' that's all I'm gonna say about it!! Oh and just about forgot Jen and I attempted a viber call before the film.. 9 calls later and i don't think 1 call lasted more than a minute!!! Have no idea why it wouldn't work - def blaming Jen's wifi.

Ok so there's been a thunder storm for well over an hour now and it's chucking it down! Thunder is so loud too, off for an early night as I have a busy morning tomorrow that I'm looking forward too! :)

Bleach, gloves and African impact t-shirt are at the ready....!
