Day 59. The wind has eased a lot and it is a sunny warm day of 26 degrees. We are off to the beach, at last, down the west side of the North West Cape into the World Heritage Ningaloo Marine Park. The ranger's office and the Milyering Discovery Centre very interesting for learning about the migratory visits of the giant Whale Sharks, Manta Rays, Turtles and Dugongs. Turquoise Bay was just magnificent with its white sandy beach and clear blue water. We snorkelled at our next stop of the Oyster Stacks seeing lots of beautiful coloured reef fish. But our favourite swim and snorkel beach was at Sandy Bay with its beautiful white sand and blue azure water. Then Jardie Creek for a picnic lunch and short gorge walk, then return trip stopping at Osprey Bay for some more snorkelling and Mandu Mandu Gorge for a walk, and then Turquoise Bay again for some drift snorkelling off the beautiful beach. Back at the van by 5.00pm for showers. Shaun from Exmouth Caravans had serviced our wheel bearings and brakes while we were away - so helpful and friendly. Pre dinner drinks at the Novotel by the boat harbour looking out on the lights of the night prawn trawlers working the Gulf followed by a scrumptious dinner at swish restaurant No. 5 Kennedy Street in Exmouth with our friends Ross and Robyn. A great day!
