We have about 1.5 weeks to make our way from Carnarvon to perth which is about 900km so we have a bit of time to spare. We had the latest start yet leaving the caravan park just after 10 after liam had a good sleep in. So by time we refulled and stopped off for a bit of food we just thought we would drive and see where we ended up. We headed towards Denham stopping at Gladstone Bay. We knew you could camp here and so thought we would have lunch here and then decide if we would stay or drive a bit further. Upon arrival though the camp host was straight on to us and was very abrupt and said we had to park and walk or pay the $11 fee. We did decide to stay despite the arrogant welcoming and is was very beautiful. There are lots of space between camps, free firewood and a good beach for the kids. A few hours later someone starts shouting and we discover we have run into the Rutland family again. So they set up camp with us and the kids had a good time playing together and the adults were able to relax for a bit. Good times.
