Barden's Great Aussie Adventure 2015
This morning we drove out to Cobbld Gorge Via Einasleigh. We stopped at Copperfield Gorge
which was really nice. It is the end of the Undara lava flow. We saw a green tree snake....looking a bit out of place amongst all the rocks.
Cobbold Gorge was our next camp and the road out was mostly corrugated with some good patches. It was a bit of a long drive but worth it! On arrival you drive past the infinity pool overlooking the lake with a swim up bar which looks very inviting. They have provided the most homely ensuites we have seen and expect to come across with each room having a combined toilet, shower, mirror and sink as well as fresh bath mats which is a nice change from the wet rubber mats or floor you get everywhere else. It may sound a little strange to be excited about these little luxuries but you appreciate the little things when you don't have them anymore.
