This morning we did 1.2km each way walk to Officer's Pocket. The walk was nice with a good lookout at the end. I have been surprised by the lack of wildlife and people around. We followed this walk with a 1.8km each way walk to Rainbow Waters. Zach was awesome once again even though the walk wasn’t as exciting as Mickey’s Creek. I thought I would be able to see the waterfall from the lookout but I couldn’t and I didn’t think the lookout was worth the walk so with Liam asleep in the carrier, I left Matt and Zach at the lookout and continued down 240 stairs to the bottom of the falls which was quite nice. It would have been good to spend some time exploring down there but Zach didn’t want to walk the stairs and I didn’t push him because he has done so much already.



"The potholes" aren’t listed many places but are awesome. They are at the start of the Officer’s Pocket walk, just veer off the main track at the information sign. The water was very stagnant and didn’t look inviting to swim in.

Whilst I battled it out with Liam to have a day sleep Matt took Zach on a 4wd loop road. Matt really enjoyed it and said a couple of sections were “hectic” & “fun”. I asked Zach if he had fun and he said “Ooo yeh” and “Just so fun”. The tilting was his favourite. It’s been years since Matt has had a poser shot so here I share his latest.

That night we had our first fire and Liam thought it was a good idea to throw his cup so hopefully this is a once off and we don’t lose more things.
We all shared a bed tonight because it was cold and Liam keeps getting out of the blankets. We watched a movie together before going to sleep.
