I got up today, refreshed and great! I slept in again til very late. Today, I had to go book my bus ticket to Arequipa, my next destination. I ended up going with a company that a woman told me in Aguas Caliente. It was much cheaper than the Cruz del Sur company (the flashy company around Peru). There was one place left (thank God!), and it was for 8:30pm.
I got back home at around 3pm to back my bags. I had told everyone to join me at the house so I can say goodbye. I was a little nervous about leaving, just because I knew that I was probably never going to see these people again. When I was finished packing, I sat at the table talking with Maria and Athinais. Old Kevin was cooking dinner tonight, but unfortunetely, it was not going to be ready for me in time. 7:30pm came along, and it was time to say my goodbyes. I hugged everyone, with tears in my eyes, I could not control it. I had one of the best times of my life with these amazing people.
Caitlin, Daniel, Dillman, Hassan, and Sabine walked me to the door downstairs and called a taxi for me. I gave one last hug to everyone and got in the taxi. I had to leave, my journey did not end here, but it was still extremely sad leaving. I got to the bus terminal just in time. I got on the bus (I had a VIP seat!) and started my real journey...goodbye Cuzco!
