Both boys woke up ravenous and became unbearable until they were given breakfast. I thought about going back to bed as it was raining but the pull of coffee was too strong! After breakfast we decided to head into NSW for the day and explore some of the Sapphire Coast. We drove into Eden, a stunning little town that sits on Twofold Bay, and parked the car to explore on foot. We found a bakery for lunch and then took our food and ate in the park nearby. I popped into the tourist information centre to stock up on maps for NSW and when I got back in the car Nick was on the phone to the Real Estate Agents and a family had put in a successful application for our house - Yippee, at last. We drove on in a state of euphoria and explored Pambula and then Merimbula. We parked the car and walked the high street finding some more Loom bands as Doris had given the kids $5 for some scented ones!! Merimbula is surrounded by water too and the lakes are full of oyster farms. The town is built on the side of a hill so it was a good hike going up and down the high street. We finished off at Woollies and bought some fruit and veg and a birthday cake for Annie then headed home. On the way back we saw a wombat ambling along the side of the road eating. Once home we had time for a quick coffee and then we walked to the lakes edge to see a lunar eclipse - unfortunately we couldn't see anything, as it was too cloudy. We got back to the van and found a message saying the renters had withdrawn their application and ate dinner feeling quite depressed! Neither of us felt like chatting to the neighbours tonight so we pulled the kids in early and hit the sack instead. Better luck tomorrow??!
