Everyone slept in this morning and it was nearly 830am before we got up. After breakfast the kids shot off to the playground as soon as schoolwork was mentioned so Nick and I got some chores done around the caravan. When they finally came home they spent a couple of hours working and I made a shepherds pie for dinner. After lunch we drove to Coffs Harbour to have a look around. Neither of us were expecting very much as a number of people we have met on the road told us not to bother but Nick and I both thought it was a great place. We went to the shopping centre first as I needed a new raincoat and it's a great place to wander around with some fantastic cafés, restaurants and shops. Then we drove to the harbour and walked out to Muttonbird Island, a fantastic walk along the harbour wall and across the island to a whale-watching platform. We saw a whale 'blowing' in the distance but nothing worth photographing, however, the views of Coffs Harbour with the mountains behind were stunning. Unfortunately we didn't have enough time to do anything else as it was getting dark and so we headed home and cooked the shepherds pie for dinner - delicious!! Hot showers and bed for the smaller ones while Katharine and I had a beauty night - facials and foot massages in front of the TV!!
