Jonny was up at the crack of dawn and that meant everyone else was too! Not long after that the road sweeper went past and that was only mildly quieter then Jonny so we would have been woken anyway!! We had breakfast and began a slow pack up and were on the road by 915am. Traffic wasn't too bad but there were some crazy truck drivers on the M1 and it was a relief to get off the motorway and reach Blacksmiths Beach. We arrived around 11am and the kids had already had enough of being in the car - heaven knows how they will cope when we get back to WA distances!! The caravan park seems quiet, spacious and has a heated pool and playground. We set up and had lunch and a relax before heading into Swansea for some shopping. We found a great Woollies for food and called into the tourist information centre for some free maps of the area, then we had a drive around the suburb on the way home. Nick took the kids off for a game of footie while I made some soup and cleaned the caravan, and then we strolled down to Blacksmiths Beach for a walk, which is just at the end of the caravan park. The beach is enormous with a massive shoreline. We walked to the mouth of the Swansea Channel and watched fish jumping around in the sun before heading home again. When we got back our neighbour asked Nick to run him up to the local garage to collect his car so I finished off the cleaning and the kids played at the playground. Nick made everyone dinner and the kids had a shower and watched a movie before bed.
