Feeling hot hot hot!!! Although let me just say its a lot easier dealing with this heat and humidity when I get to laze by the pool all afternoon!!! It's a hard life, but someone has to do it!!
This morning I decided to walk down the main strip of Acapulco (Avenue Costera Miguel Aleman). I must have had rocks in my head.... As this morning it was hot.... Damn hot!! All I can say is I haven't sweated this much since going through US customs!!!
On my journey I heard some voices.... Yes Australians. I couldn't turn round quick enough!!! I said hi to them and they explained that their sons were playing at the under 17's beach volleyball world championships, here on Acapulco beach!! In case your wondering, the Australians went down to the Mexican team in 2 sets!! Damn!!
I walked approximately 2km down to the fish market (which is pretty much the end of the strip) and then tried my luck at a Mexican supermarket!!! Wow... Everything is so cheap!! Banana's 12 cents a kg!! I must say its hard to find a healthy meal here in Mexico... So I have resorted to going to the supermarket to buy fruit and yogurt for dinner!!! It's amazing what you crave!!
Once I had finished my banana buying frenzy I turned round and headed back to my hotel!! The distance seemed to have tripled in length on the way back to the hotel!!
There is no better way to beat the heat, than jump straight in the pool!! Gees it was refreshing!! I spent the entire afternoon either in or by the pool!!!
I was speaking to a Mexican lady in the pool... Her English was very good!! She was telling me that this time last week there was so much rain... That there was flooding!! I can't believe what a change one week makes!! Nothing but blue skies and 34-35 degree temps!! Thank-you Acapulco!!
