This morning we actually got up before the roosters!! I was showered and dressed before they started crowing!! We were off to see the ruins of Palenque today. This had a whole new meaning, as the play we saw the other night in San cristobal is based on what they found here in Palenque!! The stone carvings are absolutely amazing!! They are so clear!! Today we said goodbye to San Cristobal, and hello to Palenque. The bus took about 6 hours to make the 221km journey north east. The roads were winding through the hills, with some spectacular views at times. The first bus driver had some pretty cool house tracks playing, which Richelle and I were more than happy to dance to or at least remember from our youth!!
