Dales Gorge was on our hit list today, so we went straight in that direction around 9am. The start of our loop was Fortescue Falls where we visited yesterday afternoon. We had a quick swim to cool us down before we took the walk along the base of the Gorge which was very pleasant and involved walking along lots of shale type ledges and stepping over parts of the water in gorge, making it pretty good fun. The morning was lovely, with the wind all but gone as we left the bustling Port Hedland after a stop at a mobile coffee outlet. A very windy night, and extremely windy all day today - still sunny though, and not too hot. Renee & Mum did their own mini boot camp this morning, and then Dad took Eamon & Renee down to the beach for their first use of the fishing rods since we left Sydney - unfortunately, they didn't get a bite, but they saw a few sea snakes! After a quick game of putt putt golf at our Palm Grove Caravan Park, we were sad to say goodbye to Broome this morning after quite a long stay, but excited about our next destination, Eighty Mile Beach, en route to Port Hedland.
