The weather changed dramatically overnight, and today was actually a bit cool. A nice day for relaxing and enjoying the area. Very warm and windy today, we lounged around this morning, enjoying not having to be anywhere at any set time, or see anything in particular. Eventually we went out for brunch at a very pleasant little place in the Town Centre. We then did the 40km tourist drive that took us around past the beautiful beaches of Esperance including West, Salmon, Fourth and Twilight Beaches. We waved goodbye to the Prelc's and just outside the caravan park we drove past the Killarney Heights family that we met 2 days ago at Green's Pool. We had a 490km drive ahead of us today, so left at a reasonable time (ie, after 10am). The road was fairly straight and the beautiful wildflowers are starting to come out, particularly the WA Christmas Tree which has bright orange flowers on medium sized trees.
