We woke up early again for the dolphin feeding and this time Eamon & Maya were selected to feed a dolphin so that was a real bonus. We farewelled the Hargreaves who are off to their next destination, and headed to the pool.
Around noon, we went went for a drive in the Francois Peron National Park with the Prelc family. Our first stop was the Peron Heritage Precinct where there's an old homestead and sheep station, including interpretive signs along the way. A bonus was the artesion 'hot tob', which was about 40 degrees, but still refreshing! Back in the car, and a little further on was the area to deflate tyres in preparation for the very sandy tracks within the park. We made our way down to Big Lagoon where Renee & Eamon had a swim in the quite exposed water, whilst the adults had a cleansing ale.
We arrived back around 4pm, and spent a while in the pool, before gearing up for a fish on the beach near the jetty. There were lots of pelicans around, and even a dolphin. Dad caught a baby mackerel, Renee had possibly a stingray, that took Dad ages to reel in until the line broke with about 5 metres to go! Joe caught a couple of fish also, but nothing we could keep, so around dark we made our way home for dinner.
