It was a lovely place to stay, however, we were glad to leave the smoke haze that had settled in Fitzroy Crossing following the fires yesterday. We headed to Derby - but on the way we stopped at the Boab Rest Area - a place with a giant Boab Tree which the kids couldn't resist climbing - it was a beauty!

Not long after, we found our way to Derby - a nice little town with a jetty out to some water (though we're sure all manner of crocs and sharks are in there). We set up the van, got some supplies and worked out that Dad, Renee & Eamon could visit the local pool while Mum did a Pump class at the Recreation Club! Everyone was happy and we met back at the van and had pork chops, ribs, sausages, etc for dinner - everyone was happy.
