The weather changed dramatically overnight, and today was actually a bit cool. A nice day for relaxing and enjoying the area. Dad took the car up to Toyota for its 200,000 km service and Renee cooked bacon and eggs for brunch. Eamon joined a cricket game, Renee did acro, Mum the blog, and Dad pottered around! With bikes our only form of transportation for the day, we rode up to the local athletics field first. The lanes had faded away so it took a local jogger to show us the track. Renee did a short sprints session, while the rest of us looked on!
Mum received a message from the Prelc's that they were at Twilight Beach - it's a big ride out to there (about 12 kms) adjacent to the road we went along yesterday. The bike track meanders up and down and in and out from the cliffs to the water and is spectacular - quite a difficult ride with short steep inclines and declines but we decided to take the challenge and got there before 3pm with icecreams for lunch. Renee & Eamon have been enjoying using Zoe & Sam's surf craft, so they got another opportunity today with Trudie out there getting them onto some great waves. We all parted ways again after 4pm, with Dad hightailing it back to Toyota, the Prelc's heading back to Lucky Bay, and Mum, Renee & Eamon riding back to town but taking it easy with the expectation that Dad would meet us somewhere halfway back. As it turned out, Renee, Eamon & Mum rode all the way back to West Beach before meeting up with Dad where we loaded the bikes on the roof, dropped quickly into Woolworths (and what's with the 6pm closing time!!) and headed home for an early dinner after an exercise filled day.
