Started the morning with some schoolwork, then off to the Town Centre for coffee/hot chocolate and Eamon participated in the didgeridoo playing (males only allowed). Then straight to the airport where Eamon spotted Dad's plane coming into land, hence the good shots we got. It was pretty hot at 27 degrees today, so funny seeing people with ugg boots, jumpers, etc coming off the plane - we were the only ones in thongs.
Late in the afternoon, Dad took Renee and Eamon back out to Kata Tjuta and did the shorter Walpa Gorge walk which is quite nice though maybe not as spectacular as the Valley of the Winds we did yesterday. Mum stayed back at Yulara for some quiet time, and did a couple of running laps of the area (only ~3kms) before meeting the others at the pub for a beer!
At 6.50pm we joined the "Family Astro" tour: it was 80 mins with a couple of astronomer guys who used laser pointers to show us Venus, the southern star, some zodiac signs, etc. We were able to look into the giant telescopes and the highlight was seeing Saturn (including the rings!). It was an excellent tour. Ayer's Wok for take-away dinner and we were done for the night.
