Mum, Renee & Eamon woke up at 5.15am for pick up at 5.50am by the AATKings bus for "The Rising Sun - Anangu Aboriginal Experience".
We arrived at the sunrise viewing area about 6.30am in time to warm up with a tea - it was only about 2 degrees, so very chilly. Sunrise was at 7.22am and was beautiful though not nearly as spectacular as the sunset we saw last night. We then got the bus to the cultural centre where we had a full-on buffet breakfast which was yum! After brekky and a wander around the cultural centre we met Kate our interpreter, and Alice our Aboriginal Guide from the Mutitjulu community. We spent the next 3 hours with them: we saw and heard about the traditional tools used by men and women, Eamon had a go at throwing a spear and Renee carried the food container on her head; we did the Lungkata Walk where Alice pointed out many things that we passed by during our bike ride yesterday. Overall, an excellent experience and well worth the money.
Quiet afternoon of playground, scrapbooking, comprehension! Early night for us.
