We only stayed a short time at Litchfield, but the swimming places were great and we would have liked to stay perhaps another day - though, we did think it may have been more ramped up for tourists, so it has lots of potential!

Rather than go the gravel road to Darwin, we chose to go back via Batchelor, which is a little longer in distance, but probably equivalent in time. We arrived at the BIG4 Howard Springs around lunchtime and spent the afternoon checking out the facilities including the splashpark, jumping pillow and pools.
