We left Katherine via the Coffee Club and Post Office, and made our way down the Victoria Highway. We stopped at the Joe Creek Picnic Area for lunch in the Gregory National Park, and on the way we drove over the "Vince Connolly Crossing" (hi Uncle Vincent!).
Timber Creek's about halfway to Kunanurra (still 300km), and that was to be our overnight stay. When we arrived around 3pm, Mum & Renee checked out the 2 caravan parks and they decided on the Wirib Tourist Park. We got a great grassy spot and spent a nice warm evening just mucking about and doing odd jobs like fixing Dad & Renee's bike punctures and other caravan stuff.
We're heading into WA tomorrow from NT, and no fruit or vegetables can be taken across the border, so Mum tried to use all the vegies for dinner and Renee & Eamon tried to eat all the fruit to reduce the amount we need to throw out tomorrow once we reach the border around lunchtime.
Pretty quiet day - we are all missing our friends and family - and we have not seen rain in 7 weeks! We have reached the top point of Australia so will start to move south west from this time onwards.
