Thursday 17th September - Shopping??

We started down the hill and were consulting the map and a lady came up to us and asked if she could help. We asked her where it was that she shopped for ladies clothes. "Ah follow me" she said and with that started racing downhill oblivious to the fact that Jannie had sore feet. Anyway after she stopped a couple of times for us to catch up she eventually pointed us in the direction of Gallery Lafayette and after thanks she headed off back the way we had come.

Lafayette is somewhere we had already been to and the named brand merchandise was very expensive so there was nothing for it but to head out into the heat and bright sunlight and find a place to have a sandwich and a beer.
On the corner opposite the Opera we sat and enjoyed watching people and cars pass us by. Most cars have dings in the sides and I suspect that the rows of iron bollards that are only 1m apart down most streets contributes to most of the damage.

We headed for home as the sun was now too hot and we had been everywhere and had sore feet cause we had only been walking for about 6 hours and we were going to go out for dinner on our last night.
