Thursday 17th September - Last Day in Marseilles
We got up this morning and caught up with correspondence to Gra, Mike and the next couple of places that we head to as from tomorrow, and sent a letter to Mum via Mike to post.
We did the washing and hung it out on the racks attached to the balcony handrail making sure everything was pegged on securely as it was blowing a bit.
Went down in the lift which takes about 50sec from go to opening the doors at the bottom and when we got outside the weather was a little inclement and a few spots of rain were in the air so having forgotten our umbrella I made the journey back up in the lift to get it just in case.
We walked along the Quai as Jannie had seen a place for coffee that was always full of people so thought that the coffee would be better.
Her cappuccino was fluffy and weak but little kids would be pleases to have a fluffy like this in NZ, my double espresso was good although at €8.60 it should have been better still. We have paid as little as €3 for two coffees and this morning's was about as dear as it gets.
The sky got blacker and the rain started and we moved tables to inside as the ones under the umbrellas were getting wet.
The waiter said that "The rain would continue for a bit and then it would be fine", or that's what I thought that he said and I passed this on to Jannie who thought that I might have been 99% sure of what he said but wouldn't be surprised if I was wrong.
