Our plan for today was to go to Universal Studios so we awoke naturally around 8am and got ready for the day.

We left for the station and stopped at the bakery along the way to get some breakfast before heading to the train.

It was only two short train journeys to get to Universal Studios and when we arrived we noticed there was a lot of people but we didn't think much of it. We lined up to get a ticket which didn't take that long and then proceeded into the park. We were walking for a bit before we realised it was packed the whole way through. We went to reserve tickets to get into the Harry Potter World and when the next available time was 6:50pm and it was only 10am, I think that was the last straw because after that, and seeing that the shortest time to wait for a ride was 120mins, we decided to cut our losses and get the hell out of there! Bit of a waste of ¥7000 but I did not think we'd get ¥7000 worth of enjoyment in there today so I think it was for the best.

We made our way to Osaka Aquarium after that and spent a nice afternoon at the aquarium and a ride on the Ferris wheel and browsing through the shops and having a Turkish buffet lunch.

We got back to the hostel at around 5pm and then hung out in the common room until 7pm when the takoyaki party started. We had some drinks and made some friends and made both octopus and dessert takoyaki. It turned into a fun night. We even made tentative plans for New Years with our new friends that involves karaoke so I'm happy!
