Leaving Memphis we went to Tupelo where Elvis was born and then we picked up the Natchez Trace Parkway. This was quiet and the road wandered through the flat countryside of Mississippi. We really loved the road down the Blue ridge parkway the views were fantastic and there were very few other people and cars. We pottered down stopping all the time to relish the walks and the viewpoints. Finally we got to the end (550 miles) and reluctantly hit the main roads again.
