We dragged ourselves away from the hot tub in Banff on saturday morning and drove south. We arrived in Waterton lakes park and do a walk in the red canyon . Like other places everything is closed and we spend the night sitting around a campfire by the lake.
Sadly Glacier national park is closed and we can't visit. The scenery we can see is lovely but it starts to rain so we carry on. Montana is beautiful with huge blue skies and huge vistas of the wild west!! The roads are empty and we trundle along to Wolf creek and the Holder lake. Here there are lots of fishermen and it is very peaceful.
We are in a hurry to get to Yellowstone before it shuts so it is really annoying when we break down inBozeman. We spend an anxious couple of days getting sorted, thanks to various helpful people like Francis and Rovers Down south who send parts. The ford garage sorts it out and we leave on friday having slept behind the workshops!!!
Yellowstone is stunning and we just have enough time to see the geysers and the fantastic canyon. It shuts Monday at 8 am so we are lucky to make it. We are in Cody tonight to see the Buffalo Bill museum tomorrow.
