Left camp by 7.30am on our way to the Tip. Decided to take only 2 cars & mine was the one left behind - a case of treachery by the convoy leader! Enjoyed the role as passenger in B&M's Nissan Patrol!

It was an excellent drive encompassing water crossings & patches of rainforest. Arrived at the carpark & walked the 600m to the most northerly point. Took lots of pics. The views out to sea towards heaps of islands was truly magnificent.

Detoured off to visit Somerset Beach which was superb. Spotted a goanna climbing a palm tree & a skate (maybe) which took fright when I tried to pick it up!

We then headed off to visit ruins etc but the convoy leader got stuck in sand & had to be rescued. We then returned to camp.

Booked a helicopter flight over the Cape for tomorrow.

Highlight today was reaching the most northern part of the Australian continent.
