Said goodbye to B&M who were staying a few extra days in Cooktown before meeting up with friends in Cairns. Met up with S&Y at the Lion's Den Hotel for a parting drink before they left for Mt Molloy.

Set up camp behind the hotel close to a creek & shade. The hotel is simply amazing. There is so much history & it has been keep as original as possible. They encourage visitors to record their presence & virtually every square inch of every wall & ceiling is covered.

Later in the afternoon D&T turned up having driven from Archer River. After a drink at the pub & a mess of prawns for dinner, we played cards thru the night.

Highlight has to be the ubiquitous Lion's Den Hotel.
