FIGJAM'S CAPE YORK ADVENTURE
Another good night's sleep (becoming the norm) & an early getaway! Had lunch at Charleville & then headed east on Warrego Highway to Roma.
It's like open season on roos & wallabies on Qld roads - carcases litter the roadside every few metres. Guess most of the carnage is at night with the big trucks.
Tomorrow Canarvon Gorge but with the number of fellow travellers around am concerned that the Gorge may be fully booked.
Highlight or actually lowlight was the mowing down of a national emblem!

Gavin Hi Dad, Trip looks like fun, I find it interesting ion one entry you mention mowing down a kangaroo, and then in the next have a picture of a live fluffy kangaroo. Is this some kind of sick joke?!? I'm sure it's all in good taste. Your profile pic looks great, obviously gotta alot of sun up there, but maybe a shave every now and then to keep up appearances eh? Have a great time in Cooktown. Gavin
