Coen was the easy target today - no more than 200km. The road is excellent - much better than expected & we reached Coen by noon. Bush camped on the Coen River - a great spot! Told embarrassing stories about ourselves round the camp fire - I had plenty to tell.

Have met 2/3 people returning from the Tip & the consensus is that the OTT Is not possible without winching. Will check it out but it doesn't look promising.

Highlight today was the sighting of a freshwater croc at 5.30am on the bank of the Morehead River!
