Another beautiful day. Tried fishing using one of S's rods but without success. Took a short trip to the hamlet of Portland Road just to have a look. Extremely isolated - makes you wonder what drives people to live there. Gave fishing a second try but with no better luck. Really enjoyed Chili Beach especially the campsite. Filtered light & well protected from the almost constant wind on the beach. We are heading tomorrow to Mungkan Kandju NP.

Actually began packing up at 5am! Having a large start meant that we were all ready to hit the road by 8am. Again the roads were in great condition & the 280km or so was completed by early PM. The Portland Road road was a delightful drive thru the Iron Range NP. Getting to Chili Beach early was a good move as we got the LAST available campsite upon which we all set up camp.
