The setup/packup operation is back in the groove - and able to hit the road earlier. Had 370km to reach Charters Towers & arrived by 1pm! There was nothing along the way to encourage a stop. No towns & no pleasant rest areas.

Being Sunday CT was closed. Perhaps it is like this every day! Found the 1 place open & had a meal. Then left CT to locate a free camp 30km further north on the banks of a creek. It was quite a gathering of at least 60 vehicles, some appear to have been camped for weeks or months!

Found a spot, setup camp and relaxed.

After checking map I am approaching Cooktown too fast & have decided to backtrack a ways & visit Porcupine NP.

There really was no highlight today.
