Day 344 (Thursday 13th November 08)

Not the greatest weather that we woke up to but went and studied for a while and had a nice hot shower. Em somehow managed to hurt her neck so couldn't move too well! Left and drove down to Slope Point which is the southern most point of the South Island. It was pouring with rain so Hump Puppy got covered in mud going on the unsealed roads! We then went onto Waipapa Point to look for the sealions. Walked along the beach and couldn't see any but back in the car and stopped at the viewpoint and sure enough there was 2 massive sealions lying on the beach! Amazing to see. Headed onto Invercargill and cooked up some lunch. Had a look around and then drove down to Bluff. Up to the viewpoint at the top of a massive hill. Em fell asleep for about half an hour as the tablets she was taking for her neck seemed to have knocked her out! Then drove down to see the country signpost and back through Invercargill stopping in Clifden for the night.
