Day 311 (Saturday 11th October 08)
Today up to Canberra, found internet at the YHA and updated our neglected photos and blog. Went in search of a campervan park for our usual saturday night. Stopped at a IGA to get some food and then headed back up the Federal Highway. Didn't have to go far and found a nice, clean campsite that didn't cost too much. Nice to have a hot shower!! and a cold beer! Chilled out for the afternoon and then cooked some nice chicken breasts and peppers on the BBQ with another cold beer.
Day 312 (Sunday 12th October 08)
After leaving the campsite went off to have a look around the Old Bus Depot Market and the Glassworks. The market was good but preferred the ones in South East Asia. Having a look around the Glassworks was interesting, especially seeing how they melt the glass and then mould it to shape. We then went onto see Parliament House and Old Parliament House. Had a walk along Lake Burley and saw the High Court of Australia. Made our way to the Australian War Memorial Museum and got a good view down Anzac Parade. The Museum was massive so had a bit of a look around before them saying there was a showing of a video of the current affairs in Iraq. Thought it would be interesting to see what has been going on. After about an hour film had a better insight into the goings on, good to see the side the media don't show. Hungry so back to Hoki Poki to find some food! Parked up in a car park for the rest of the afternoon to chill out, cooked up later and went to sleep.
