Day 338 (Firday 7th November 08)

Woke up to pouring rain, hope it clears up. A lot colder than what we had been used to as well! Had some breakfast, popped into the tourist information and had a look around Cathedral Square. Then went in search of a dentist as Em's tooth had chipped off again. After a while of looking around and going into a couple of places decided it could probably wait to be filled again until we got home as they both had said it should be ok. We then decided to move on and see some of the amazing scenery around us. Headed to Akaroa. The scenery on the way along the tourist drive was spectacular. Never seen anything like it. It was so cold that we even saw some snow on the side of the road! Stopped off in Akaroa for a while which was a lovely place. Awesome mountains behind and the river mouth infront, a place you could stay for a while! Helped a couple of girls jump start their car along with another guy from the local fish and chip shop. After watching the awesome scenery around us for a while longer decided we should probably head on as we will have a tight schedule if we want to see as much as we can while we are here! Stopped just out of Akaroa to cook something to eat as there seemed to be a total fire ban in Akaroa. Then made our way to Dunsandel. Late by the time we got there so just parked in the car park off the road by the noisy train track to get some sleep. Don't we always pick the best spots!
