Day 357 (Wednesday 26th November 08)

Em woke up at about 1am feeling very sick! She hoped she could just be sick and go back to sleep but no chance as she soon started to feel much worse and we knew we would have to get on our way and try and find somewhere there was a toilet. Went through Hastings, Havelock North and Clive trying to find a toilet and took us about 2 hours to find one that was open and didn't have kids hanging around in hoodies. Ended up in Mapier, managed to get a bit more sleep parking up in a carpark where there were other campervans. Had a bit of a look around in the morning and up to the lookout but Em still not feeling well at all. Off through the mountains to Taupo. Turning out to be a really nice hot day. Went and asked at the information centre about campsites and they all seemed really expensive in Taupo. Didn't really want to drive even more that day and they said there was a free camping place nearby so settled for that even though we really wanted to chill out in a campsite. Chilled out by the lake which was nice for the afternoon and did some study. Cheap internet here so went off to use it in happy hour in the evening. Once we were finished went off to the free camping for the night.
