Eaton Family's Aussie Adventure
Longreach is a truly iconic Australian town and has the Stockman's Hall of Fame to prove it - in my opinion it is not as good as the Waltzing Matilda Centre in Winton, but still fascinating. We all however enjoyed the Qantas Founders Museum and did the tour of the 747-200 inside and out. I was really interested to see some tickets from their first year of operation 1922 or something like that and there are still lots of terms and conditions including kids under 3 travel free on mother's lap and children 3-12 pay half fare. Just as it is today. Hudson Fysh one of the founders was a very determined and dedicated man who was with Qantas until retirement in the late 1960s and died in the late 70s.
