Keep River National park is a little gem just 3km inside the NT border and is full of rock similar (so they say) to the Bungles. Litchfield NP is pretty close to Darwin and is a favoured spot for day trips for locals and why wouldn't you, with lovely safe swimming in rockholes with lovely cool fresh water, compared with Darwin beaches, where they take 150 saltwater crocodiles out of Darwin Harbour each year!!
