Rich and I agreed that this is perhaps the prettiest walk we have done in Australia. Finch Hatton Gorge is at the bottom of the mountain under Eungella - there is plenty of water here at the moment and the walk called the Wheel of Fire is along the raging creek all the way. The photo is of Araluen Falls, though I have to say that photos can never do justice to a view. It was noisy walking with the roar of the water all the way - but really spectacular as it was creek side the whole time. With inviting slippery rocks it was always inevitable we lost a child or two in the water and fortunately I now carry the bag of dirty clothes (due to difficulty washing - just in case I pass a laundry) and so the kids had a choice of wet and dirty or dry and dirty!! The did comment that the clothes were rather dirty - but better dry!! Fortunately now all are clean. It was a fun day
