Friday
It's wash day again and this time there is no cost to use the washing machine. Once it's all hung out we go over to the pool again for a spa and then a swim. Back to camp for lunch and a break out of the hot sun before we go back for another swim. There is a food van set up in the park and a semi has also pulled up. At the pool we find out that the semi is the fruit and veg truck and the food van is selling chinese takeaway.
After we return from the swim we go and restock the fruit, tomatoes and eggs as well as checking out the Chinese menu for dinner tonight. We pass Chris (who has been saying since we got here that he would check the temperatures of the pools) on his who asks me to guess the temperatures. I guess 22° for the cold pool and 38° for the spa. When I get back I tell Martin that I've overestimated the cold pool and should have said about 18°.
We head over for happy hour again and Chris confirms the temperatures at ranging from 17-18° and 37-38° so I didn't do too bad. We are joined by Peter and Rhonda and another young couple why has arrived today - Peter and Brooke. All of us are leaving tomorrow and heading for Birdsville. Brooke says she phoned the caravan park today from Boulia and it is already full so it looks like we'll be staying by the river. She also said that they'd told her the powered sites were $40pn and unpowered $30pn.
We head up to get the chinese for dinner but unfortunately it turned out to be very expensive and pretty bland really. Martin has another night of footy while I catch up on my blog and do some puzzles. About an hour after we eat I start to feel a bit queasy. Martin is OK so I'm guessing that they used MSG in the chinese. I don't tolerate it well but I forgot to ask first.
