We got up early to wash our clothes but the annoying woman at the campsite had locked the laundry door and wouldn't let us use it. We had stayed the night in Franz Josef as there was allot more to do there than fox glacier. We drove up to the Franz Josef glacier but we couldn't be bothered going onto it as we were both still knackered from the day before. We then left for Hokitiki, not the most exciting place in the world but we had a couple of days left to waste...

Next day we headed north again towards the Foz Glacier, stopping of a couple of times on the way. First stop was the Blue Lakes which were actually pretty nice, got to climb over a massive suspension bridge which Brid hates, jumping up and down while we're both on it always amuses me. Another breakfast by the lake and we escaped just in time as the camping fee's boyo came round just as we were driving off. We headed to Cromwell, a small old gold mining town, there wasn't much to do except go pan handling, unluckily we didn't find any massive nuggets. We camped at a campsite about 6km outside Queenstown, beside a lake. No one was around collecting fee's so once again we decided not to bother paying. We didn't plan on doing much today but there is another Gondola and Luge thing in Queenstown and I wanted to kick Brids butt again. Had a long lie in this morning then went for a walk half way round the lake we camped beside. Headed up towards Te Anau to do the Doubtful Sound cruise as we couldn't be bothered driving up the Milford road and all the way back. We spoke to the woman in the information and she told us you can only do 2 day cruises on the Doubtful sound so we decided to head up to Milford and do the one day cruise from there.
