Denmark
We only had 25 nm to travel but the wind was on exactly the line we needed to go, so with a few tacks it turned into 35 nm. We sailed all the way, others were in a hurry and were using there engines. First sight of the harbour was not great as it was a working shipyard. We went into town to do some shopping and have a look round, there is a lot of history in the town with shipbuilding and fishing. We thought it was very busy. Brenda asked the harbour master who told her there was a festival of over 60 tall ships coming in to celebrate 500yrs of independence with music and fireworks. We couldn't see how they would fit them in but they did. There was lots going on all day with the shipbuilding museum open and music playing, with a grand firework display at midnight. We are going to stay to see them all leave then sail to the next island of Langeland to a quite anchorage.
