After arriving back from Vatican City we walked around the corner to the Crypt of the Cappuccini Monks. Inside was a bizarre display in which the bones of monks were arranged into shapes and patterns with each crypt having a "theme". Price was only a donation and it was certainly worth a look as something completely different. No photos were allowed but you could buy a postcard!
We tried to catch the metro to Repubblica station to see some Roman bath ruins near Basilica Santa Maria but the train was too crowded so we decided to walk. Ruins were disappointing so we walked back to Termini station to go to the supermarket for some more supplies.
Back to the hotel for a well earned rest before setting out for dinner at 5.45pm. Went to a nearby Chinese Restaurant which was very cheap and the food was good. Walked back to hotel via a souvenir shop for a book on Rome, Venice and Florence.
