We got the bus to Udaipur on Thursday, while we were waiting for the bus to leave Jodphur we had a horrible thing happen, a really manky man with a manky kid got on our bus to beg, I (Ellie) was sitting in the aisle seat and the man started leaning on me and was a bit pervy. I had to push him off me and shout at him. Kam didnt realise what he was doing until after it happened. It really freaked me out!

The bus journey was 7 and a half hours long, the landscape changed from desert to lush hills and farmland on the way down. We passed through Ranukpur which was very pretty. There were some scary roads we passed through crawling up some of the steeper hills!

When we got to Udaipur it was dark, we went to our hotel called Udai Niwas and felt very pleased! The room we are staying in is cheap but is so clean and posh (to us) the hotel has a three storey restaurant with lovely views across the lake.

On Friday we went and looked around the city palace museum that was quite interesting and had dinner in the hotel restaurant.

On Saturday we went on an overpriced boat ride from the city palace around the lake. we went out for dinner to a place called Savage Garden which was romantic and the food was tasty. Highlight of Saturday was when Kam sort of got run over by a moped!!

Today is a bit of a drag, we had to check out our room at 10 and we have a ten hour overnight bus journey starting at 7 this evening. We had a lot of time to kill. Have drunk lots of 7up.

We are off to Indore tonight, theres nothing of interest to us there, just a stop off point while we arrange ongoing transport to Aurungabad. Not looking forward to long bus journey :-(
