Well we made it to Indore!!!!

We had a 13 hour overnight bus journey from Udaipur and after initial worries it was A.OK. I think Ellie was worried because it wasn't exactly a palace on wheels but it was a rust bucket. We boarded and found we had our own fish tank as a bed. We managed to cram all our travel gear and still have ample room to sleep. Late at night we had an incident where our coach had a blow-out(puncture). It took for ages to change and we could hear the crys of dogs in the distance. When we did get moving we had another scary incident, our bus got stuck under a barrier on a level crossing with an approaching train ARGHHHH!!!!!! Luckly we backed off just in time.

Our arival in Indore was ok as our accomodation the Hotel Nelam was just across the road. We still had men trying to take us the 50 metres in thier tuk tuk's. We had booked the room in advance trusting lonely planets promise of clean tidy room, we were in for a shock. A hostile receptionist welcomed us and took us up the four flights of steps to our room. Once the door opened our hearts sank. The following words clearly describe it SMELLY,DIRTY,POO-HOLE!! The squat toilet was surrounded by old bodily fluids. The bedroom floor was dirty, the air cool blew warm air all in all very unsatisfactory. We decided there and then we had to evacuate!!! We decided to keep our bags there and go and book a bus ticket for that night to Aurangabad.

We decided to kill the rest of the day by going to Tresure Island mall and having dinner at Pizza Hut. Unfortunatly we got there too early and had to return to our flea pit and return once open.

We went back later and browsed the expensive shops and had people ogling at Ellie. We had a country feat at pizza hut and got served by an over excited waiter. We had to ring a dinner bell on our way out and all the waiters said "THANK-YOU". We also went to the dollor shop to get a toilet roll but ended up buying alot more thanks to another over excited man weilding a miniture trolley and incisting we place our toilet roll in AHHHHH what service.

We returned to our flea pit and got our bags to go to the Coach pick-up point.
