Well the bus journey from Siem Reap to Bangkok was quite funny...we got loaded onto this tiny school bus and there was no room for anyones luggage underneath so it was all piled up down the aisle so no one could move an inch, then we were off. The road wasn't really a road but just a dust track full of massive pot holes!! It was a very bumpy journey and Kam decided to sit next to the window which he soon regretted! There was so much dust flying through the window...

Well we're now at the last but one leg of our bus journeys. This particular one was good but we knew we had maybe the most testing journey yet, the infamous Siem Reap - Poipet (Thailand border)!!! The bus took us through some stunning countryside and small stilted villages. Upon arrival at Siem Reap we got dropped off at the bus station and it reminded us of India all over again. There must've been 50 touts vying for our blood, but before leaving the bus I choose...

So we spent only one day in Phnom Penh and wow we learned so much. We both only knew about Cambodias recent history from another freind that had been travelling there a few years ago and by reading the book 'first they killed my father' which we only read about a month ago. In 1975 the Khmer Rouge led by Pol Pot took over the country, I don't want to write about the history because don't want to get any facts wrong. We visited the killing fields of Choeung Ek ...

The last open tour bus journey, thank goodness! We had one more breakdown on the way but it wasn't too bad. We arrived in Saigon in the evening and as soon as we got off a little old lady shouted cheap room at us so we followed her and the place she showed us wasn't bad at all! We went out almost immediately to get some food, we were staying in the main backpacker area and there were loads of restuarants and bars. We had a nice meal and while we were eating we go...

Well an early start from Dalat and a breakdown halfway down the hill made the journey although scenic, very painful. The bus just cut out and rolled to a gentle stop, the driver was in the engine tinkering around and I think it was something to do with the fuel pump. We finally made our way and we were both a bit anxious as we had a connection to make at Phan Rang. We arrived and the bus was waiting for us, so we piled off our bus and onto the busy bus to Mui Ne....
